Mentoring

Mentoring is a scheme sponsored by Barclays Bank. As part of their personal development, Barclays staff meet with Passage Clients at art galleries, museums, coffee bars etc in order to share experiences and talk about life at work. Mentoring helps both clients and Barclays staff to better understand each others view of the world. All Barclays staff receive client contact training from the mentoring coordinator before meeting clients.

Lifeskills

Lifeskills is an 8 week course sponsored by City of Westminster College. Lifeskills is intended for people who are nearing resettlement. The course ensures that people have the necessary budgeting, cooking, shopping and washing skills they need to live independently. Lifeskills also introduces clients to a range of leisure options that do not involve alcohol or any other activity that has previously threatened their tenancy. Every two weeks the course is visited by Workforce a company that provides clients with employment and education guidance ensuring they have something to go on to when they leave the course.

Computing

The ETE department offers a number of computing courses from Foundation in Computing for complete beginners to CLAIT and ECDL for those needing accredited qualifications. For those already proficient, Packages including Windows and Office XP and Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash are available to increase skills to professional levels.
