Locum Chefs

£9.45, Job Ref: LCH/L2
Hrs as and when required

You will be based mainly at our hostel called Passage House.  The hostel is open 7 days a week.
The hours are Saturday 3.00p.m. to 7.30p.m., Sunday  8.30 to 11.00 a.m. and 3.00p.m. to 7.30p.m. and Monday to Friday 11.30 am to 7.30 pm.

An experienced chef is required to work within a team of chefs and volunteers to prepare a balanced diet to our clients.  Duties will include assisting in planning and preparing menus, assisting the Head Chef in using donated food in the most creative way and storing and checking the orders and invoices on delivery of goods. You will have considerable experience of working in catering ideally within a canteen, hotel or staff restaurant or similar setting and experience of working with Food Safe Systems. A recognized qualification in Food Hygiene and HACCP would also be desirable

Locum Cleaners

20 hrs per week, £8.64 per hour, Job Ref: LCL/L1

We require locum cleaners to work within cleaning our busy day centre for homeless people.  Certain areas of the day centre require fairly vigorous cleaning and experience of cleaning in a non office environment would be helpful and knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles in the workplace. Hours are will generally be evening shifts: 6.00 pm – 10.00 pm Monday to Friday after the day centre has closed.  There may be some scope for additional hours to cover holidays.
