The Education, Training and Employment (ETE) team comprises a project manager and deputy, a mentoring co-ordinator, a financial inclusion officer and two project workers. In addition, City of Westminster College provides two part-time life skills’ workers, one part-time IT tutor and one part-time vocational guidance worker. Job Centre Plus also supplies two sessional workers to help twice a week.

Last year the drop in computer service was used 3,187 times by a group of some 373 clients. The most popular ETE class was RSA CLAIT (computer literacy and information technology) with 20 client sessions each week. This is an accredited computer course run by the City of Westminster College. Last year, 32 exams were passed – a real achievement considering the clients’ extra needs.

The quarterly magazine produced by clients with staff support is available online at www.writesofpassage.org.uk. This site also enables our clients to access the ETE job support site and to look for work out of hours.

At least 69 jobs were obtained for clients last year.
